They say you don't choose your family—your family chooses you. Well, I hit the lottery! 

Although I'm three years her senior, I don’t recall—and can’t imagine—life without her. We were inseparable as kids and remain that way now. I know we always will be. Love, laughter, family, food and meaningful conversations, paired with fun and tasty libations, have always been our thing. 

When we were younger, it was our mother Rosetta's homemade lemonade over which we convened. Now, it’s the Setta wine she helped me create, which we named after our beloved mother. Sharita’s bright, warm smile, inquisitive mind and predilection for the spoken word have always warmed my heart. Her intelligence, intuition and courage inspire me, but it’s the way she loves and nurtures her family, students, friends and me that really defines who she is. It’s in this spirit that vintner Ian Devereux and I created this refreshing, crispy, citrusy, California delight for “My Sister Sharita” ... and to share with you.
 
A portion of proceeds will go to Red Rose Reads Foundation (redrose-foundation.org) as a dedication to our mother, Rosetta Boyce Kyles.
