2017 IBEX Single Vineyard Merlot
Our single-vineyard Napa Valley merlot is grown in our award winning Ibex Vineyard in St. Helena. Sustainably farmed and hand-harvested at the base of Spring Mountain, our vines thrive among some of the most celebrated cabernet vineyards in Napa Valley. Harvested late for prime ripeness, this wine is aged in new French oak for a luscious, complex, full-bodied expression of merlot.

I typically don't select Merlot as a first choice for a red, but the Ibex Merlot is something else. It's bold, but not overwhelming, and the dark Raspberry gives it just the right amount of fruitiness. An absolute favorite for you red wine luvahs!

Very impressed by this Merlot. As the name and story behind it suggests it's a perfectly complimentary mix of bold and graceful. Great fruit forward expression that is mixed with a bit of leather, currant, and pepper.
